I know this has been asked a bazillion times, so here goes. Does anyone use white or shad colored senkos? I mostly use the ones that look like bass, but since these are supposed to replicate sinking baitfish, shad colors would work right?

I use the ElGrande Match the Hatch Stick baits instead of Senkos and the White Pearl has been my go to bait this fall!  Works Great!!  The  ElGrande is alittle bigger but about the same fall rate and works best for me!

It use to be a special order color from Yamato smoke/pearl belly, great color also smoke/pearl belly with purple flake. Water melon/amber laminate has been pretty good for me too.

I use green pumpkin 99% of the time because I am trying to imitate a dying insect, crawfish, or bream around docks usually.  This time of year though and I think other times when the shad are out in numbers, I bet a smoke color on sunny days and a silver/gray color would work well on cloudy days.

Watermelon Red ALWAYS catches fish for me.  ~cf

Green pumkin before the sun gets out good and watermelon red flake when the sun is high   I have used about every color out there and I fish most with the two colors above.

I've also had a lot of success with the color 330 in both sinkos and Kreature baits from Yamamoto. Also don't rule out the old reliable black/blue flake.

There is a off white color I use like a deep running jerkbait. I hook it weightless texas style with a smaller hook to give it some action.  For regular application I like watermelon red flake or junebug.
They see me chuckin, they be hatin.

used to use red shad a lot...can't seem to buy a bite on them up here now...

use primarily green pumpkin/black flake.  Baby Bass gets the nod from time to time in real clear water...
Green pumpkin/orange and purple flake also get used at times...

will also keep a bit of junebug about ...

then again, I rarely fish shad lakes...mostly the baitfish here are bluegill...

Spyder

I have the best luck with the red/black.

Green pumpkin orange/purple flake is color 330. I still can't do that cut and post thing.

that is a great all around color...green pumpkin mimics so much that's in the water and 'food'...and the purple fleck gives a bit of a baitfish 'flash' while the orange fleck appeals to the 'crayfish' crowd...

basscpr...I think the only way to get images to show here is to first save them as a jpeg...then save/upload to a host site (like www.photobucket.com) and then click/copy/past the 'image' (IMG) option...or you can link to the image...

who gave up the smoke color shhh... white works all year even in the spring great for sight fishing

I used to fish nothing but watermelon with red flake all year long, but this year it has been difficult to catch bass on that color. This year I have done much better using black with silver flakes or watermelon with gold flakes. The latter has been due to the numbers of large green/gold dragon flies around here.

good observation...drawing the line between a 'key' forage and a 'triggering' color...

Blue/Black laminate most often, Red or white in gin clear water.  The slower I work the bait the better the bite.  ~cf

Also for some odd reason 5-6 inch senko (or knock off) used to be the ticket, now
4-4.5 inch is the deal.

white, baby bass, or black with red or blue flake is the only colors I use
