I don't have a boat yet so I'm stuck with fishing from shore.  I've been going to Old/New Ponds in Easton and haven't had much luck from shore.  I'm hoping to find somewhere somewhat close that I can run to for a few hours at lunchtime and fish from shore.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Dennis

I too feel your pain.  Most of the lakes and ponds around here with any kind of shoreline access are completely choked out or too shallow to hold bass when it's this hot out.  I have fished both of these places several times with very limited success.  I was able to put my boat and motor in New Pond a few years ago, but it's just as weedy out in the middle as it is near the shore.  All I came up with was a couple of big pickerel.  If you haven't already tried it, Flyaway pond on Main Street in Easton has some good fishing.  Just follow the path by the gate near the street side and there are several spots along the patch to fish including a nice point with submerged brush and a fallen tree.  I've had success on plastics and spinnerbaits there.  Good luck!

I can point you guys at a few places but my favorite is not quite publishable.
Try carver pond in East Bridgewater, Shovelshop pond in easton, DW fields is also pretty good, if you dont mind weeds and garbage. I have heard good reports from Long pond in your area as well.   If you want the other pond, where my six lber came from, drop me a pm.

BTW if any of you want to get out and fish, pop me a pm, I have a little crawdad that will take one other and probably a total of 10 rods with a little juggling.   I'm looking to hit indian head pond in Hanson for a six lber or at least a 20lb day.
