Jan runs a great resort...full service with gas, restaurant...right now late Sep/early Oct...weeds are thinning back...leopard frogs are migrating from the marshes to the lakes for hibernation...and the bite is getting good...

in that part of the world most folks think walleyes...and filet the incidental pike they catch...  these lakes are great LMB, SMB and pike fisheries...if you can go there..you owe it to yourself to do so...

this is going to be an annual trip for me...it's only 5 hours north...all on pavement...
