Lets get some ideas on some lakes up here so we can have a poll and everyone vote.  Lets try to keep this simple.  Just the name of the lake and location so that I don't have to sift through 100's of posts to create a poll and if one has already been listed please do not relist.
Try Lake Pomme de Terre  out of Herritage MO. 1 hr south of the ozarks. Or Long Branch or Thomas Hills Resivour out of Macon MO. All 3 great fishing holes

Longbranch sounds like agreat idea.

Don't really matter much. Just keep it within 4-6 hours. I'm flexable.

I just threw TR and Truman out there as a suggestion because I know there are lots of camping locations.  But I can see how making an 8 hour drive towing a boat could hurt the budget a little.  I know at 10mpg it would definitely hurt mine anyway. lo

Hey all. As you know I"m fairly new to UB but I threw a couple lake suggestions out there. Just wondering whats going on. Are you putting together a tourney 4 UB members or is this a private date. If its open I may be interested. If nothing else just to get on the water & meet some UB members. All have been friendly & helpful here. Also I"ll be pulling that new used Nitro out of storage in about 3 wks & will post some pics. Hope you all like it as much as I do. WELL JUST LIE TO ME   LOL. Thanks all

Sounds like a good idea. Let me know when you pick a date. Been a long time since I been to Thomas Hills, It"s a discharge lake for an electric Co. Water temp is much higher than other water in the area. Bad thing is there was no camping spots down there. You could camp at Longbranch @ fish em both in the same day. Both good holes.

the MDC website says the thomas hill CA has
Camping Area - Individual Campsites
1  Campground has 10 camping pads, covered shelters, a privy and picnic tables.

wonder where they are

Well thats good they put some camp spots there. As I said It"s been 20 yrs or better since I was there.
we used to go there every weekend in the spring back then & stay in a motel In Macon. Some more advice if anyone goes there. Use the north ramp- the south ramp used to have some HUGE boulders just under the water surface that could do some big damage on a nice rig. I"ll keep my eyes & ears open as to what you all decide for a lake & date. Sounds like a good time to fish & meet some new people.
