I found it through a random search on Yahoo. So far the site looks great and I will certainly bookmark this. I just recently had the fire rekindled in me for bass fishing. It was difficult to let go of something that I loved as a younger boy and man but now I'm back and ready to catch up on technology and new baits as well as re-learn how to present the right lure at the right time.

Thanks for putting up a great site!

Calvin, glad to have you aboard, hopefully you will find the answers to all your questions here, and if you don't I can guarentee that if you post your question someone will answer it very quickly. Good Luck in your refound adventure and we look forward to chatting with you threw out the site :-*

Thanks for the warm welcome! It's great to have a place to "sit by the campfire and relax." LOL. Being a native of Oklahoma and growing up fishin' for the hawgs, I have vivid memories that still linger of my days there. Having moved to the Atlanta area some years ago, the last time I dropped a line in the water was 3 years ago up until a couple of weekends ago and had my first striper experience on Lake Hartwell here. Needless to say, it re-lit an old flame and once again (as it was in my youth), this is what I think about all the time now.

Welll , before I left California a fishing friend told me to check out this web site.   In fact I close on my new home in Alabama today.  Then I can start the honey-do list.  The quicker I get started the sooner I go fishing.

~sweat   I'll be getting more involved for sure if it keeps heating up down here! I finally broke out the old patio boat umbrella ~rain  today for an unbelievable heavy rain and some rapid fire good bassin' between thunder claps (cloud to cloud, don't worry) just before going in to work this afternoon (yesterday  :-\). I'll be leaving it handy for those all day trips on off days in full  ~sun, and will be trying out my new home-made misting machine  :-*. I got the idea from a state cop who put up a misting nozzle for his canine partner. 12 volt pump will spew a fine mist of tapwater through a special nozzle right at me from the deck. A wiener? Yep, I admit it. Getting soft in my old age. BUT, I stay out there fishing while most everyone else is caving in and loading up around noon, maybe coming back out around 4 pm to find me limiting  and culling on THEIR fish.  ;D The water will come from a bottle in a Coleman chest full of ice and drinks. Works sitting in the carport....we'll see. If'n it doesn't cool enough, I'll be coming here while enjoying the AC.

Searching the web I found myself a freshwater fishing message board   that I can relate to living  here in the Fla. panhandle. Favorite lakes are Talquin,Seminole, and all the nearby rivers. Ex-Tallahassee Bass Angler 13 yrs. ago...but when the youngins came along my fishing for competition ended. Now that my son is 13...he wants to fish....so I`m back in action. I`ve just purchased a 18 ft. Nitro-200 Merc and hope to get back on the lakes and teaching  him .
This place really looks great and I hope to meet  more people and learn some new tactics of bass fishin`... .that`s ifin` I can learn my way around here.  Thanks for allowing  me on  board.                          D.B....Quincy,Fl.
