Gave myself this idea while posting a minute ago. U can find head flashlights at almost any sporting goods store for about $20 throw one in your bag for when your night fishing. Or just put it on your head before you go out. Click it on when you need to re-tie your lure or if u get a birds nest. Beats the heck out of holding a flashlight(if you don't mind looking like a coal miner). This kind of only applies to shore fisherman like myself, for u would have adequate light on a boat at night to see what you are doing.

Great idea, thanks for posting  ~c~
I use a clip on type light that clips onto the peak of my fishing hat.

I wonder why no one makes a blacklight headlight for night fishing ? Or have I just not seen them ?
I don't mind not knowing all the answers, but I keep forgeting the danged questions.

they do actually have one, if you look up blacklight head lamp. Almost everywhere they are currently unavailable.

sugarbear

I don't think you understood what I thought I said

I have one with a red light but it doesn't make the line glow like a blacklight will. it works pretty well otherwise, doesn't mess up your night vision.

I use these for setting decoys during duck season.
