Hey my names Jake and I'm 16. I am from Illinois and fish lakes in Illinois. I'm pretty close to Lake Sara and Newton which are some of the better lakes in the area. I'm in a Jr. Bassmasters club in the 15-18 year old age group for Illinois. I joined this sight because it looks like theres alot of information and tips I can learn from it.  It's the best sight I have seen for fishing forums.

Welcome to the Family Jake! Take a look around, ask a question and have a great time! Share some ideas and pictures too.

Jake and to Ultimate bass. You came to the right place to learn about Bass fishing. I fish Lake Shelbyville several times a year but have never fish in Lake Sara but do have some friends who fish there a lot. Good luck with your quest. OH and we do have a member here who does fish Newton and should be able to give you some tips on fishing that lake also.

Hello, I'm from Long Island, New York. I'm trying to get back into fishing, as I didn't have a chance to go at all last year. I'm going to buy an inflatable boat or something and try to go a few times a week this year. I love to fish but I still have a ton to learn about techniques and such.

RandMan

Hello everyone,

Name is Randy and just joined the site ten minutes ago. For work, I am a Chef Instructor in Boston and have been cooking since I was 15. Also at 15 I discovered my two other passions--playing guitar and largemouth bass getting their lip snagged on black Jitterbugs.

I used to fish two times a day when I was around 18 years old. Ahhhh, the simple days; would go in the morning for three hours or so, shower, go work in a restaurant until eleven at night then go hit the pond for some midnight topwater action. I got back into it last year pretty heavy, and I was going out 4-6 times a week after work this past spring and summer. I have even bigger hopes for this year and beyond, and joining this forum is my first step! Looking forward to learning oodles from you all. See you tomorrow!
