Hello everybody. My name is Ron and I'm 39. I live in Southaven MS.  I spent 12 yrs in Georgia and picked up the hunting and fishing bug from friends there. Now I've moved my family back home and get to spend my spare time with my Dad (retired), kids and nephew fishing.

Problems are just opportunities in work clothes.

Hello everyone, my name is Albert Nieto and I live in Colorado just outside Denver.  It's been a cold and snowy winter here and I am dying to go do some fishing.  Im an avid bass fisherman and heard about this site from the B.A.S.S website and the Colorado B.A.S.S federation Nation.  Living in Colorado there are some good lakes out here but nothing to really talk about so I envy all of you folks who live in the South, Texas and California.  I was born and raised in Los Angeles but as a kid we didn't do much bass fishing, just catfish, trout and ocean fishing from the piers.  My goal here is to meet some new people who are into bass fishing as much as I am and hopefully learn some new tricks of the trade.  I'm a power fisherman using crankbaits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and topwaters so when it comes to finesse fishing I really suck at it.  So any new tips would be greatly appreciated.  I have read all the B.A.S.S. books but its not as easy trying to implement it out fishing.  Well I hope to meet a lot of people and I really enjoy looking at everyone's big ol' bass pictures that they catch.  Have a great one and keep on fishing!!!  Albert

Thanks again, Topcat for pushing me over here...

I'm killing time here in Omaha, NE until the ice goes out (hopefully March 1)...then it's on the water chasing my favorite fish:  Largemouth.
Have had the fishing bug since I was 4 and my folks moved to a farm with a pond.  First fishing trip was with Dad and the brothers...we went into the tall weeds in the corral and caught yellow grasshoppers...pinned them to a small hook on green cord line under a wooden float and swung it out (canepole)...caught 5 yellow bullheads that evening and I too was hooked.  While I chase LMB, I never dis another species...even those less than enthusiastic paper bags some folks call walleyes...

Bigger, better, more expensive toys have followed.

I enjoy reading and learning as much about the sport and quarry as I can...and that's where all you experts come into play...thanks for all of it in advance...

I get to fish mainly SE Nebraska, SW Iowa, NE KS and NW Missouri...predominantly small waters (<1000 acres)...

topcat

Thanks coldfront for sharing with us a little about yourself I see you live in Neb. the cornhusker state. don't feel like the lone ranger I had a humble  beginning started out with a cane pole and worms....I hope ice out comes early for you all so I can read about some of your adventures on the water in the Nebraska State Fishing Reports forum and see some pics of Old Bucket Mouth...you are on the right ship.......at UB you can read learn and share and have fun just chatting about  current events.....here at Ultimate Bass we are one big family.....so welcome home and enjoy and thanks for sharing........

OhBasser

Hey guys!

I little about me:  I've been a basser all of my life.  Grew up fishing the small creeks in West Central ohio for smallies.   Then I made a mistake back in 1996 and fished Lake Erie for Smallmouth.  It took just one time trip up there and now its almost all I think about.  That 1st trip to Erie was unreal.   I had never caught the numbers and quality of fish like that.  Erie has changed since then and haven't repeated what I did that 1st trip.  I almost did it last year but it wasn't like the 1st trip to Erie.  Almost 11years and major $$$ later I'm still after them.

;D

Thanks OhBasser  for sharing with us a little about yourself....Yep you hooked just like the rest of us......we just keep buying and keep chase after them elusive fish....thanks again for sharing with us and enjoy

Hello,

My name is Charles Wieneke and I live Maryland. I have lived here for most of my life. I started fishing when I was around 16.  I bought my first boat at 17( 12' crawdad) added a deck and a 5hp. I was happy as a clam. I fished everywhere I could, when I could. I fished mostly the Potomac River for Large mouth(lower river) and small mouth(upper river). I married and had 2 kids and fishing stopped in 99.  I am trying to get back into it this year.  My wife let me buy a new boat..76 ranger that needs work, and new truck too pull it ;D  That's it so far...

OHbassaholic

Hmm, sounds like she wants to get you out of the house a bit, Chuck.  lo

Hey guys & gals,
My name is Rob, 35 yrs old from Michigan. Been fishing all my life, my father ran a charter boat on Lake Michigan so I had a rod in my hand when I was 4. I have always wanted to get into tournament fishing but put it aside to get my family started, I have been married for 10 years to my lovely wife Kim and we have been blessed with 2 boys, Hunter & Gage. This year will be my 3rd season fishing tourneys, I mainly fish large opens around Michigan. I am very fortunate in that both my personal and professional life allow me to fish 70+ days a year (FL Keys in the winter). Yeah, I guess you could say I'm addicted to fishing, but then; I'm sure that I'm preachin' to the choir here!

bennym

Hello Everyone...... My name is Ben Martino AKA bennym... from Gardner, Massachusetts...
Been Bass fishin' since about 1973 or so.... Married since 1970 and have three grown children, 2 boys and a girl.... the girl was better at fishin' then the boys !  :o

I mainly fish lakes and ponds in my area.... I'm a retired firefigher after 34 years in the fire service, and since 2002 I've been on a disability, which gives me allot of time to go out and fish.... I use to use a nice little 10 foot John boat with paddles.... but because of a back operation, I gave it away to a friend because I couldn't lift it any more... Now after not fishing for the past 5 years I'm feeling well enough to go out and give it a shot this year...

I'll start out shore fishin' but I also just picked up a small rubber raft that doesn't weight much and I'll give that a shot too to get me into the weeds where I like to be...  '-{

I fish mainly for my own enjoyment and thrill of catching.... ;)
OK I'll shut up now  ~an~
I'm enjoying the site..... :)
Thanks for listening, good fishin'
