kiksati and lov2fish -

Glad to have you both here with the rest of us bass fishing addicts.  Look forward to hearing from you on the many boards here.  You have definitely found the best bass fishing forum on the web.  I have been a member now for over a year and it just keeps getting better and better.  Mike and Laurie Cork work extremely hard to keep this site family friendly from which everyone can learn a lot, share a lot, and find a special place to interact with people they have much in common with.  Again - welcome and if you have any problems - find one of us staff members for answers.  We'll do our best to find you answers ;D

Hi everyone. I'm Tony, 23 from Maryland. Been fishing all my life but got serious a little over a year ago. Pretty good friends with Bane. He's the one that turned me on to this site. We fish mostly local ponds/lakes and hit the reservoirs when we both have a day off. He helps me get all the backlashes out of my baitcaster  :roll2:

Lipripper

and to Ultimate Bass and we are glad to have you here too. Bane is a good friend and I have my only bait caster at home with one of them professional over runs in them that he can have a go at when he gets yours done  ;) lo lo

Bane

I suppose since I never had anyone to help me figure out casting them, Ive backlashed them more then enough. Used to have to cut it all out and be left with about 20' of line. Now I figured out the secrets and they all come out :D

I dont let him get off that easy though, He helps me get my car back together :)

He can build a motor, I can fish...If either of us try the other its usually not a good outcome  :roll2: :roll2:

(well..he did put me in my place on sunday with his 5-6 fish that weighed about 14lbs to my 2 fish that weighed less then a double cheeseburger)

T1A

Welcome Tony..let us know if ya need something

Lipripper

Bane less than a double cheeseburger  :roll2: :roll2: now them must have been some might small Bass  lo lo

Bane

yep  :'( one was barely bigger then the zoom centepiede I was throwing and the other was just barely bigger, was hoping to keep catching them since the size was increasing with each fish. He even hooked a snapping turtle bigger then the one I had...them things looooove jig an pigs. I did have 1 really nice thump on a jig but never brought anything to the boat with it. compared to his 3 fish within 20min, one being 5lbs  ~xyz

Bony Tony

So when you ready to go back out?   lo

Bane knows that days I out-fish him are few and far between, that's only like the second time in the past year. I usually catch 1 or 2 dinks doing the same thing he is but he catches fish all day.  ~xyz

Bane

we can hit the upper end of rocky gorge/patuxant river on sunday (or saturday if I dont fish that tourny on the naticoke)

with them draining rocky gorge down, im hoping the deeper water/steep banks and cooler water temps in the upper end have the fish headed up there. couple weeks ago when it was 90-100* out the water temp was still 75* so hopefully they went to find some refuge from the heat up there.

Hello, my name is mike.  I try and fish every free minute I get.  I live in central FL and mainly fish the Harris chain.  Its been really hot around here lately, which has slowed the bite.  Figured I needed to dive into the internet and search for some tips.  This seems like the place to be, I am love'n this site!
