Thanks everyone for telling us your stories about yourselves.I know we all will be looking forward to hearing more around the site from all of you.

Hi all. My name is Joseph Todd(Joe) and I love fishing.  However, I consider myself a novice at best with lots to learn.  I'm hoping to keep up with fishing sites and forums in order to learn more so that one day I can teach my 18 month old son to be a decent fisherman.  We live in Rochester, MN.  Most of my bass fishing is done at local man made pits or in the backwaters of the Mississippi.  My wife and I will be taking a long weekend trip to Branson in April, so I will take all the shore fishing pointers about Table Rock that you can throw at me.  Its great to be here.  Thanks.

Hi, my name is Joe and I'm a fish-aholic. This does not look like a 12 step program, but could be a lot more fun than one from the way it looks to me.

Anyway. I am Joe from Central Florida. I have been bass fishing most of my life because my father was a fish-aholic too. It seems to be a genetic thing.

I have spent the past few years preparing myself for the tournament scene. I have registered for the BASS Cypress Division in 2006, my local club the Brandon Bass Bandits, and a series of local tournaments on my home lake of Lake Tarpon.  By 2007 I hope to be fishing full time and working for myself 100%.

Had my first tournament of the season last weekend and finished 4th with big bass honors. I just hope that was not a lucky start to the year.

I am looking forward to reading the post on here. Maybe learning a thing or two from some of you. If any of you are planning a trip to a central Florida lake in the near future let me know and I will try to help you out with some tips. I don't mind helping my fellow addicts.

Hello all, My name is Mike and I am 40 years old.I'm married and live in upstate NY which is also where I was born and raised.Other than a brief excursion to the military and 1 year in CA I have been here.I have fished since I was 12 or so but only seriously for bass the last 3 years or so.Before that I fished for bass but also much more multi species type fishing.I have a job where I am fortunate enough to have over 180 days off a year so I spend alot of time on the water.Once the season gets rolling up here I will be showing you all some pics of the fine bass and pike we get up here on the Hudson.

I'm not a tourny angler and have no desire for this type of fishing. To me its all about catch and release and having some fun.Its suppose to be fun and a stress relief in my book.I look forward to sharing some expierences with you all and hearing about and seeing yours.Until then, tight lines.

Hello, all! Another newbie checking in.

I'm Rebecca, a 25 yr. old fishing nut from FL... don't get nearly as many chances to get out as I'd like though. Parents are fishing fanatics too-- 'bout the only thing they had in common, lol-- and fishing trips were one of the highlights of my childhood, as well as long afternoons as a young kid spent fishing off my grandparents' dock with a cane pole. Still take fishing trips to Quebec with my dad in the summer, go for bass, pike, lake trout, and walleye. Favorite rod is my 'ol Ugly Stik, and overall favorite lures are Gary Yamamoto's.

Great place you have here!!

OK, lets see...........

I've been fishing on and off since I was a little guy. My Dad was a salt fisherman and that is where I got my start. Started fishing sweetwater with my friends as a kid.

I kinda got away from a lot of my out door activities while busy with early career and building the family. Got back more actively a few years ago, but still spend NO WHERE near enough time on the water to be happy. LOL!!! My fishing partners are my kids..... four of them, so we usually alternate one or two at a time.

This past year I finally bought a boat (motor and all!!!!!!!). It's a '89 16 foot Fisher with 60hp Mariner out back. Dates back to before the Tracker buy out, so no manuals, specs etc are available from Fisher. Anyone know anything about the SV16GT Grey Thunder by Fisher? I understand they made an 18 footer too. No more paddling for me.....well I haven't exactly retired the canoe.

I fish the Hudson and its' tributaries, along with lakes and local ponds.
Bass, panfish, trout........as long as I can get out on the water once in awhile, I'm happy.!!! ~c~

I've noticed a lot of folks posted they're retired........Can't wait until I hit that milestone, so more time can be alloted to  ~cf !!!!!! But that won't be for a few years, since we've got little guys!

Lipripper

Welcome again HDMotorcop  and if your kids lpve to  ~cf and you got four of them you will always have someone to fish with  ;D
