Summer Grove Tourny

Fished the Summer Grove tournament yesterday, on Cross Lake, ended up in second place with one over and two under,
around 5 1/2 lbs, my partner was in fifth with one under, quite
a few zeros. Missed big bass by a few ounces my was just over four pounds and big bass was 4 lb 3 oz. Caught big one
on a power worm and my unders on cranks. The grass seemed
pretty heavy around the banks. Couldn't buy a frog bite. The
weather was nice and breezy, could have used some cloud cover. Well it's is official Doug is in first place, me in second and Joey in third. Doug and I are tied on points but he has me on big bass. I found Joey a partner with a boat, so it looks like
everything is working out for our next tournament.
Went and bought my Cross sticker for 20.00, a can remember
when they were a lot less. I guess everything is going up,
like the baits we use to the expensive rod and reels be use.
