Got up Friday the 20th and drove down near Nasa in Houston and worked 1/2 the day.  Headed to the Houston airport at noon for a 4:00pm flight.  Landed in Atlanta late because of thunderstorms, and missed my connecting flight, got moved to the next flight so I would have been able to watch most of the race, except the satelite kept shutting off because of the storms.  It finally came on 3 minutes after the race ended.  The flight to Indy kept getting pushed back.  Every 1/2 hour they would update, and when it reached the point that i wouldn't get there until 2am i called my son, who was going to pick me up at 9pm origionally, and told him to go to bed and I would call him when I hit the ground.  Reached Indy at 2:30 am, and instead of waking my son I called a cab.  5 minutes after I left the airport, my son calls me from the airport to see if I had landed yet.  I made it back to his house before him.  Got up 3 hours later and picked up the truck, drove to Lafayette IN, loaded most of my worldly possessions and headed toward Florida. I had hoped to get everything, but it wouldn't all fit, and the truck rental places won't let you haul any trailers that don't belong to them so the boat is still there.  So I made it to Florida at 11:00 am Monday to enjoy a nice day of unloading all of my stuff.  So now I have to drive back to Indy in my truck with my Son-in-law, rent another truck, get my boat and the rest of my stuff, and drive back to Florida this comming weekend.

Good lord man... You should have paid someone to do that!!! Never goes as planned but that was a trip. And you still gotta do it again?

Tell your son he needs to visit the old man in FL. and to bring the boat with him ;)

Or save the gas, wear and tear on your truck, motels etc etc and just call a boat transport company and have them bring it to ya  ;) ;)
