I thought this was cool, I did it myself on one I had in the tackle box with a bead from a c-rig.. took seriously 2 mins. I tried to search to see if this was posted anywhere before but the server is down.. so here you go. If its a repost please remove  PoPo YouTube$1.00buzzbait

My quick & dirty mod: squeeze a split shot above the blade to keep it from moving too far toward the r-bend, pinch the body of the rivet to keep it from spinning, rinse the spinner arm in alcohol to remove any grease/oil, then hold the buzzbait out of your window on the way to the fishing spot to help it squeak better. Works great too.

Sounds like a good idea too, I'm not claiming this I just saw it and figured I'd share it. I also heard that you can soak the blade in bleach for 24 hours and it rust the blade so it squeaks different, but I have'nt tried it.

Don't really have to soak it in bleach... just put a drop or two of bleach on the holes where the wire passes through the blade. It's also fun to hold the blade out the window while driving 55+. Just keep your knuckles away from it (learned this myself!).

Ouch lol.. why the window thing? does it wear down the metal or something?

i saw this video at the beginning of last season, i bought 25 $1 buzz baits from walmart and did this to all of them. Took me maybe an hour to do all 25 and it makes a huge difference.

It looked like it actually polished the wear surfaces. Two smooth surfaces rubbing together makes it squeak louder. It's like putting water on your finger and pulling it across glass or a shiny gelcoat.
