I bought a new Maxxum a few weeks ago and noticed everytime I have it running it interferes with my hummingbird. Unless I have it off or at 100% it "blurs out" my screen. Still gives me depth and temp, just a lot of lines in between. Only other option I can think of is to extend the wires from the locator and run it off my 2nd battery which is mounted in the back of the boat. My primary battery is located behind the front seat for better weight distribution.

Did you hook up your electronics to your TM batteries? If so, theres your problem. It is a MUST to have your electronics on yer crankin battery just for that reason. That is usually the case in these situations, but if you DO have the electronics on your Crankin battery and it is still doin that....... well then im not sure what it may be...............

One problem there, no cranking battery!

Front and rear trolling motors (Almost all lakes in my area are electric only) So I run dual batteries. 1 for each trolling motor. Might have to extend the wires to the back of the boat then and hook to my secondary battery that is used for the rear motor (rarely used) bildge, livewell, and lights.

I would definately give that a try. Put the electronics on the TM you use the least and hopefully that'll fix yer problems.

We had the same problem we put the TM wires on its own battery with the electronics we were using while running we put the electronics we were using during TM with the main motor work well  hope this helps.

UPDATE:

Running off its own battery, nothing else is running off this battery, and its still doing it. Only other thing I can think of is I may have to remove the transducer from the TM and mount it to the boat, which I don't want to do. May email minnkota if I get the time.

DB,
Keep us updated on this.  I find this interesting.

I have a G3 1548 rigged out with dual trolling motors and (3) depth finders etc.
My depth finder on the front deck is hard wired into the trolling motor wiring and I've never had any problems with it.  The transducer is mounted on the foot of the trolling motor.

I'm running a Foot operated Motorguide 41lb and a Hummingbird 550 depth finder.
It came rigged this way from the marine dealership.
