I've got an 05 ZX225 but the dash switches (control panel) is the 06 model with the micro-switches and red indicator lights.  I'll post a picture of the control panel  tomorrow when it's light.

The control panel would not turn off.  I unplugged the wiring harness and all went off.  Plugged it back in and everything worked.  Left it on a minute and the navigation lights came on by themselves and it was like the control panel locked up again.  I had to unplug it to get it off.  Plugged it back in and all was fine for about a minute and then the nav lights came back on by themselves and the control panel locked up again.  Thinking I may have a short in the nav lights, I pulled the nav lights fuse.  Turned it back on ... same thing...  the control panel locked up again.

Since the whole control panel is one solid state electronics board, I'll have to replace the whole thing.  Am I thinking correctly?  Anyone have any idea?  Let me know.

I have something similar on my Legend. Usually unplugging it, or killing power to it will reset them. Sounds like yours is due for replacement.

I have an 06 zx200, and my dash went out about a month ago. Skeeter recognized the problem on these dashes and has fixed the design on the newer ones. The dashes let water in behind them eventually shorting them out. I beleive my new dash cost me about $200. Check with a local boat mechanic, there are 2 different dashes you can get. The original, or an aftermarket brand, which is identical to stock... but the warranty is better with the aftermarket version so thats the one i went with. Hope this helps.......

did you get the after market one at the dealer or somewhere else?  Let me know please.

No, i did not get it through my dealer. I use a local mechanic who is much cheaper and a better mechanic than the dealer has. If you would like his Contact info i could get it to you. Hope this helps.........

Can someone post the info on the after market source for the replacement switch.   I need one.

BigDBasser

Wish I could remember the info.  I finally got the new control panel thru the dealer and had them put it in.  As I recall, the switches were about 300, and the dealer charged another 100 to install them.  I also recall that the dealer was sorry he charged so little because it took him about 3 times the amount of time that he thought it would.
