replacing wood on the back deck

I have a 94 Nitro bass boat that is 18 ft long. I have noticed the rear pestal seat being loose. After inspecting it the wood is rotting below the pestal seat. Due to water sloshing up on the wood from the live well I am having the wood replaced. Has anyone else had problems with rotting wood.

i have a 94 Nitro also, but i dont think anything is wood on it, ill have to check it out, i think its all fiberglass, is your whole back deck wood? or no?
