Recessed trolling motor tray problem

I just ordered my tray and realized there are two beams in the front deck of my boat. The tray is 11 inches wide and the beams are 9 1/2. Any suggestions.

The only thing I can think of would be to cut the deck through the beams and then go back and have someone weld in around the inside of the hole to keep the bracing intact.
