power supply for gps

I read one from about a month ago. I plan on going under the console can i hook this in to the radio since i do not use it when fishing or can i tie it in to the depth finder what is the best way to do this i do not want to run wire from the battery because of the amp draw and if i do not size the wire right i will have voltage drop. Thanks for your help

That should work fine. Just tie into any switched 12v source and make sure you use the fuse that came with it.
