Looking to buy a new Lanier boat but when you go to the website doesnt give much info on the different models they build. I do a lil bass fishing but I really want this boat for spec fishing down here in South Louisiana.

Can anyone tell me the difference in the models? I have emailed troy but never recieved a answer.

Thanks

The primary reason Troy hasn't gotten back to you is because he has been in and out of the hospital!  It's not that he's avoiding answering questions, he's been down!

Now, in answer to your question about the different models, right now the one that is currently in production is the Sabretooth as I understand it. The others are still in design and testing.

And the Sabretooth is the model you want for the type of fishing that you're going to be doing.  As you may or may not know, the 2009/2010 Sabretooth boats are now entirely carbon fibre/composite boats, much lighter and stronger than even the 2008 boats, which is saying a lot!

For a combo bass/spec boat, I think the Sabretooth would be perfect.  Back when LCB was still FastCat, I had the pleasure of owning one.  I ran that boat in everything from little 60 acre ponds with unimproved landings to the Great Lakes of Superior, Erie and Michigan.  The boat took everything I threw at it extremely well.

Very fast, it is a rarity among "go fast fishing boats" in that it also has a tremendous amount of fishable room, unbelieveable storage and a dry, comfortable ride, even in rough water conditions.  It's also saltwater ready, another rarity among go fast boats.

Rather than take up server space, pm me your telephone number and I'll tell you all I can about my cat boat experience.
