Guys, something was brought to my attention today while I was talking to Jeff Gilmer about the 2010 Shootout & it being at North TB State Park. Weren't we there for the '09 Shootout when TCTC hosted it? 2010 is hosted by LOCKJAW! so shouldn't it be at SOUTH TB State Park?

I was thinking the same thing but Rattle and or Lock Jaw picked it and as the host club it's up to them. Maybe Next year when it's our turn we can go south toledo or Fork

I think it will be better this way due to the spawn occurs on the north end and moves south. Should be some big limits come in if the spawn is on up there.

It was discussed at length and I think it was done so it would be more convenient as it is more towards the middle of the lake

You would think so, however with the clear and deeper water down south it doesn't. Up north the water is more stained, warms up faster and has the fresh water from the river to help feed things.
Two years in a row now, in later Feb the fish were either staging or on their beds on the north end of the lake.

The North end of the lake has a better bite at that time of the year and that is why we picked it. We trying to get a good bite for everyone on Toledo. Every year we hit it at the right time but we some how miss the big bite. Maybe we will nail it this year. I personally would like to see some 20 lbs stringers brought in.

Here we go. We move the tournament to Toledo Bend so it isn't so far for you and then you have trouble with the waves on the first year so we move it up North near your fishing hole so you don't have to run as far. Hell the only thing left to do is go catch them for you.

Like I said, Third times a charm!   

I had a Sucky Tourney this year.  But I caught enough big fish prefishing to make it a great week.  I really like that lake, I think it just doesn't like me. 

Last year I was unprepared for the Tornado and 15 inches of rain, But this year I had no excuses, I was on the fish to win and didn't make the right ajustments to put them in the boat on sat. Sunday was a hail marry and I lost a real good stringer of fish. I just plain sucked during the tourney NO excuses. 

Can't wait for the  and  and I might even bring a few fish to the scales.

Don't be hard on yourself that's our job. Seriously, that kind of crap just happens and it happens to the best of us, but hey we are out there to have a good time and I think everyone succeeds at that.

Since there are two to a team boat eye still need to find a fishing mate . Not sure which club to try fish for to give them the winning edge

Maybe eye will get lucky and catch one of them on a BASS lure like they do  eye have still yet to catch a KAt on a BAss lure.
