I don't think it came with software or usb cable and ill have to look for the owners manual very easy to use and it takes the navionic cards also.I have some kistler rods and johnny morris signature reel that i will post later today just trying to clean up.

lowrance website has all the owners manuals you could ever want in .pdf format...
software needed to link/support the unit to your PC is also available free for download from the Lowrance site...

Yea it is a hand held unit it is a very good unit i bought it for my duck boat but i sold the boat and dont have any use for it now.
