We are going to have some of the head guys from LDWF come in and share their plans for our area lakes over the next couple of months as well as answer questions and or take comments.

Tuesday July 28 is the date.
Reeves Marine in Bossier City, LA is the place
6:00pm is the time.

Anyone planning on trying to come out? Lets make it worth their drive into town.  The more support we can get, the greater voice we have.  :help:

James John-It's okay if you are a little late.
We really need to push this in our circle of friends. This is our chance to really show up in droves and overwhelm these guys with bodies, not words or criticism. I've attached a flyer to pass out or post at your favorite bait shop or anywhere. I'm going to try to get the media and newspaper to cover it as well to inform people.

I'll try to be there but I may be leaving the state again to take my son back to see family in Kansas and do some more fishing up there. Those northern spiecies large mouth are a lot more aggressive than what there is down here.
If we don't go, then I'll be there.

We can all thank the folks that stocked all our lakes with Florida strain Bass for that fact.

I'll be there and pass the word.  Just out of curiosity, why did they decide to have this meeting at a private business (Reeves) as opposed to a public building/arena?

Since you are curious, I'll be honest. We ran our fish fry/tournament out of reeves showroom and it really worked well. It fits better than an empty room, people get to sit in party barges instead of institutional chairs etc. I asked a few of the state guys if they would come and I asked RR and Michael @ reeves if they would host it. Simple as that.

Beagle, why don't you make it where this one stays at the top of the reply board. I would say its vital to our future fishermen! haha

There was an article in Saturday's newspaper about this. It also showed a picture of LDWF spraying Galleon around the State Park Launch area. Maybe they are actually starting to take some action against this stuff.

If they are showing photos of crews sparying the plant they are wrong, as Galleon is injected into the water.

They have been doing things all along with in their budget and manning. But it's not been enough. People have to realize this is not the only lake in the state with issues.

However if you read Fogy's post letter, sounds like they have some research to give them a game plan now. We'll see.

I definitely want to make this meeting. And sorry I didn't know about the one this morning :'(

Since there was a meeting this morning, will there still be the one discussed here?
