I was hesitant about posting this with some of the other similar questions out there.
I have a Nitro 750NX. I just bought a Lowrance HDS 5 Lake Insight unit. My goal is to use the skimmer transducer so I get the optimum clarity, but Nitro has that stepped transom.
When I asked, my local nitro mechanic said he would put it on the lowest part next to the drain plug etc. which makes sense but I have a roller on my trailer that sits just below that point. My guess is that the roller is really there to line up the keel and the back end of the boat will float over top of it transducer and all.
Does anyone else have this roller? And will it interfere with the transducer while loading and unloading the boat?

You could go a foot or so on either side of the keel centerline and still be fine. Make sure the transducer centerline is parallel with the waterline and not the hull.

I appreciate your help but, I don't really have a foot on either side, the the flat spots get real tight and I think the chines rise up out of the water a bit and might interfere if I'm on plane.
Here's an picture of what it looks like. I'm not being clear enough.
I'm wondering if it would be fine if I installed the transducer in the recommended area (shown). Does anyone have this same transom with a successful transducer placement?

A picture is worth a thousand words. I believe you're going to hit the roller if you put it in the red area. I would look at outside of the bunk on either side. I don't believe you're going to be out of the water on plane in that area on your boat.

But I'd welcome anyone that owns one to chime in.
