I have a 2001 186 DC.  It has the in-console mounted and in-bow mounted orginal fish finders.  I want to replace it with something newer.  Since I have not been on my boat yet (Im still in Iraq for 15 days), Im looking for some help on what size the hole is and what will fit.  I really like the Humminbird 595Cs.  I would want something with GPS (internal anntena) and that has maps.  Im looking to keep it around $400.  I also want something to replace the bow mounted one.  I want to keep it around $250.  Im also willing to do refurbished.  If there isnt anything to fit in there what can I do to cover or fill the holes the old fish finders would leave.

Thanks
David

Read my post on the HDS line. Get a hand held unit and use it in your car too. For me the extra one pays for the navionics cards isn't worth it.
