Whats the deal?

Just today I saw 5 vehicles with bassboats and some kind of weird license plate like louisiana or arkansas.  1 was missouri and I can't remember the others and I've seen several throughout the week.  Is there some kind of big tourney coming up?  Are all of these boats up here pre-fishing for the BFL all american or whats the deal?

Ah I C...well they better stay out of my spots.    The team surpreme is that same weekend so hopefully not to many of them run to 13 cause if so my spots are probably going to be hammered for 3 days straight before hand.

I've spoke with many of them and they are going to have a rough time locking 6 times a day and making it back to weigh in on time let alone having time to fish. I do think you'll see quite a few on 14 but very few trying to make it to 13 everyday.

I thought they would have only have to lock through once but I was thinking they were launching out of the lower end of 14.  I keep forgetting there is a couple more dams in the quad cities.  if I'm not mistaken there was a big BFL or something and it was won out of 14 in Johnsons creek and Jacobs a few years ago(4-5), but I think your right.  They'll have to catch alot more than what I have been lately to make them come up here.  I've been getting lots of smaller fish, but only a good one here and there.  Today was really rough, but I did get 1 good one.

As long as none of them sound like Aaron Martens last week.  Did you hear him crying to a guy about fishing "his" spot.  I used to like the guy, but to get pissed at a guy for fishing public water.  The guy was even there first.  Martens told him "Dude I am fishing for a 100 grand"   He acts like he is the only tournament fisherman that has ever delt with other people fishing.

I thought the FLW was suppose to be comming and fishing out of Fort Madison. Wouldn't be unusual to see them start up river and work their way back down river checkig which pool has the best looking water and what it had to offer, and finish up pre fishing around fort madison. Then do the math onwhat hole they want to fish and is it doable.

Not sure about FLW, but there is a BASS event in Fort Madison in June I believe.  but I would think it highly unlikely for them to lock through 5 dams to get to pool 13.  you would have about 1 hour to fish if your really lucky and don't have to wait for a barge.

I'm sure they would have designated lock times but thats too far to run with the time it takes to lock 10 times.

C'mon karl.  We all know there is only about 3-4 spots close to clinton where you can catch fish, so it wont take me that long to find them.  You got lucky anyway, cause I have to go to a graduation party at 2 and I'm not sure operating a boat after I get back will be the smartest thing.

Heck there were two trucks in the Parking lot at Spring Lake today from IDAHO   Now that is a drive to prefish.  A ton of boats running into spring lake today and then turning around and running out about 20 min later.
