Thanks for the trip yesterday.  We got a few nice fish.  I really think we figured out what they wanted in the last few hours.  Like you said we really could have boated a nice limit if we did that all day.  Although it makes for a long day.

To bad we really had no trouble finding the Northerns ~rant  We boated 1 and broke off on another 4.  The one I broke off was nice and small ~b~  I will be able to get out a few more times in the next two weeks and try and find something else.  The Sunday before the tournament my Wife is gone so I will be able to get out twice that week.

lo those dang northerns were working us over pretty good.  lo  let me see, after yesterdays trip I was down 2 spinnerbaits, 3 biobait crawtubes, 3 hooks and 3  tungsten weights ~b~  lo oh well, it made for a good day anyway.  We spent a bit of time just exploring and it sort of payed off.  lo

I made that same pattern work today at the pond today ~c~  They just wanted a different color of bait.  I had to go with a blue and white  :o  I did sight fish for one 16" bass with a frog :-*  He could not hadle that frog floating in front of him.  Boom I set the hook and I broke him off.  That is the first fish I have ever broke off with 50# Power Pro.

The worst part was he shook the frog right away and I watched it float up and then sink like a rock. ~rant

They combined the Savanna division with the super north division this year.  They are only having two on pool 13, most of them are on pool 10 ;D.  My wife and I are having a baby in late june or july so I don't know how many I am going to be able to do.  That is part of the reason we went with Team Supreme.

I will have to see what the dates are and look into to fishing it with scott

tennispro

Thats cool but you guys just have to spot us 3 fish that are atleast 3 pounds :help:  Or just maybe one pass through a magic spot lo  Just kidding.  I only work 3 days before that tournament.  I am on vacation and should be able to find at least one more spot.

I talked to the guy that runs the tournament and he said the numbers were down last year for the savanna tournaments ::)  I really can't understand why lo  I hope the new owners can get it going.  They had great tournaments in the past.

Don't worry Lip.  Adam and Scott believe it or not are human.  lo  THey aren't going to win them all.  I noticed the weights were down alittle bit sat and it only took 18lbs to win, but the wind was crazy sat so that might have had something to do with it.   I'm still waiting for the results of the gateway bass tourney.  I had 6-8 bites in 1 spot on sat and I stuck 1 that just wouldn't let go of my biobait tube and it was about a 3.5lb fish.  We got alittle while yet, before the tourney, but right now I've got about 3-4 spots that have been producing decently.

As long as we can get into the one spot I think they will still be there.  The water was low when we found them ;)

What is the river stage today??  It was up yesterday when I was out.  I really wish they would leave it alone for about 2 weeks at a time :-*

It dropped over a foot on 14 since yesterday.  ~rant Dropped about 9 inches in 13 according to noaa

tennispro

Ah heck 9" we are good :)  Right Nate ;) But then again that could turn into 13"-15" before next weekend >:(

They will keep dropping it and Nate your right we wont win them all no one will and anyone has just as good as chance as anyone to win.......Good luck and i hope that you whack em........Gateway only took 13.03 to win and we got second with 12.8 and had big bass with a 4.57 fishing was brutally tough and couldn't go where we wanted to because of the wind fishing both the last two days was tough and just had to get lucky to get the right bites

Buzbait88

I'm not worried much about the river.  Anything can happen in 2 weeks and our pattern might be shot, but as of right now I'd be pretty confident we could bring 15+ to the scales.  I went on sat and 1 grabbed my biobait tube and just would not let go.  He just sat there with it in his mouth and I tried shaking him off, but he wouldn't I ended up setting the hook and it was about a 3.5 pounder.

He wouldn't let go because its Bio Bait and tastes like food unlike a regular rubber tube  ~b~  lo Cut your hook if your going to use that stuff or that'll happen quite often  ;D Thats some good stuff  ;)

Tried to tell that boy that prefishing with no hooks is way better when you dont want to hook them.   ~b~ ~b~ ~b~ ~b~

15lbs no problem then i dotn know why he is not fishing in the tournaments one big bite with those fish and you are set........... ~b~ ~b~  I thought that the bite was tough for us as i thought it would be lost a couple good ones but that happens when you are sight fishing for them on beds

Buzbait88

How do you rig a tube with no hook and keep it on.  I roll the tip of the hook over a little bit to try to prevent it.  Usually I can just shake them off, sometimes I can actually raise them to the surface and get a look at them before they let go.  lo  That way they don't get hooked and I can see the size, but then again it might be just as bad as hooking them.
