Got out Friday on Gilbert lake which is off big cedar lake in Wi. The wind was blowin bad but i had the fever and the forecast for the weekend sucked, and it did rain all weekend but we needed it. I could only cast with the wind and i could just about empty the spool. I boated 5 bass in about 3 hrs and had over 30 hits. They either just outright missed the frog or i set the hook to soon. you got to love froggin, one bass as you can see in the pics had something bite it, makes you wonder how big that toothy critter was,LOL.

My biggest i think little over 5lbs

That little lake is only 51/2 feet deep and the water temp was right at 60 so i had to try the frog, plus it was the only bait i could throw in that wind,LOL.

Josh,
Not sure what mean by year round, i know they ice fish it in the winter, but i only fish it till middle of June as it gets real weedy. There is a channel that connects it to big cedar lake. I has alot of pan fish in it and i see alot of boats fisihing for them but i have never seen anyone froggin it or fishing for bass there. Hope that helps out.

The reason I ask is because in Wisconsin fishing for most sport fish is closed from March 31 - May 2nd. Aside from a few of the river systems, Bass fishing in Wisconsin is closed until this Saturday.
