OK, tried it once and here goes again.  This is my '03 Avalanche with a 150 EFI Mercury, gets me around pretty well.  Have not done much other than add some pretty cool electronics...the new HDS7 is the shizzle, can't wait until the Structure Scan transducer comes out in a couple weeks!

Hello.  I have a 2004 PT175 and just love it.  Does anyone have a Mercury 50HP TwoStroke?  If yes, do you get beeps when you turn on the key?  I am not and trying to find out if this is the way it should be or not.  Thanks.

Thank you so much for your reply.  I have talked with Mercury 2 times.  The first time they told me it should beep and the second time they told me it should not.  They explained that as of 1997 the beep on the key was removed from the 50Hp motors.  Thanks again.
