August 16 - What do you love or hate about fishing

I love to try new techniques out like drop shotting adn carolina rigging.  I love always been a power fisherman, but I am trying to develop an all-around, versatile approach other than beating the bank.

I just love being in the outdoors.  I was always athletic growing up, and took up golf in college for the same reason.  I just love being outside in wind, rain, sleet, or snow.

I dislike all the work involved in owing a used boat.  It is a constant source of aggravation.  I cannot wait to own a new rig so I can drive it down to the dealer and say "fix it!".

I dislike rude people who have no etiquette at all.  And I don;t just mean pleasure boaters and PWC's.  There are plenty of rude fishermen too.  Cutting in on banks, throwing trash over board, abusing other peoples property.  Get a clue folks or get off the water!

I like fishing because it's a mind game.  It's not you against other fishermen.  It's you against the fish.  I have made perfect casts and not caught fish and made horrible casts and caught them.  It is always an adventure.

I like fishing because it reminds me of my grandfather.  He took my brother and I fishing as children and I remember him as such a great man.  He is my role model.

I dislike fishing from the back of a boat.  It is a totally different mindset that I have yet to develop.  I fish half of my tourneys as  a co-angler, but I still haven't developed those skills to follow someone up.

If it is on the water it's for me, Either fishing or just watching nature.

One of the things I dislike is putting the boat in the water and forgetting the plug

I hate to see the people fishing off the dock not move when you pull up to it.

A bad day on the water is better than a good day at work

I enjoy taking someone fishing in the boat that has never been in a boat to watch their excitement of getting to spots they would never imanigine.

I hate it when some "person" pulls up and blocks the ramp to get everything ready.

Watching the youngsters catch a fish for the first time is always fun.

I love being on the water alone and enjoying the peace and quiet with my voices.

I enjoy talking to someone nnew at the ramp or out on the water to either meet someone new or learn where the fish are at

I hate it when soft plastics get hung up...they are not supposed to do that.

I love taking someone fishing and they catch fish.

I love to watch the herons fish...tells me where the forage is!

People taking their time on the ramp is always a drag

I hate the idiots who open up a lure package and discard it on the ground like it's their personal trash receptical

Watching the birds hunt for food is fun ,espically when they catch something.

I hate obnoxious groups of people who try to take over expansive areas of a park and claim it as their own...the parks/lakes are for everyone.

I love when the first patch of duckweed appears at the back end of the coves, signalling the beginning of slop fishing

I enjot the time I get to spend with my best fishing partner MY WIFE
