Fish, don't ya have to have a kind of club runnin, before you get fishin tourneys?

I guess not, but it might be easier to get the thing all started.

maybe we're not on the same page...there are in fact bass clubs that run tourneys for their own members, and there's tourneys that allow anyone who wants to abide by the tenets of the tourney and plop their entry fee down to fish.

The type of tourney I'm proposing would be the latter...it's too difficult to try to start a bass club for non-boaters, because most of the shore fishermen would be difficult to get ahold of, but an advertised open shore fishing tourney might work better...get my drift?

I agree, you are going to want to keep it open, do not just limit it too non-boaters, just tell the boaters there are no boats allowed :-*

for sure silver, I would discriminate against boaters...I'd just make sure they understood that they're welcome to bring their boats, but to leave em in the parking lot cuz it's a shore fishing tourney  ~roflmao

Yep, and make sure you advertise it like this, with the money you can save on gas for your boat, you can get into the shore tourney :-* ~c~ lo
