Smith

Poestenkill Creek
Wading the stream using roostertails in the larger pools targeting any areas of shade.

Smith

Schoharie River
Wading the river edges using roostertails slowly through the faster channels and deeper pools.  I also look for any slower water that can provide a break from the current.

Smith

Sportsman's Lake, Illinois
Fishing crankbaits on the points and laydowns.  Also fish spinnerbaits in the coves around thick vegetation.

My favorite summer way to fish is sitting on the end of my couch with a new bulk spool of Berkley Big Game, my Berkley spooling station, a few of my Abu Garcia 5500s and the tv tuned to ESPN2 watching someone trying to Beat Charlie Moore.

Middle Fork River
Wading the river using J7 rapala and rooster tails in the deeper pockets

Lake Mingo
Using crankbaits and plastic worms along the riprap, actually deflecting off the rocks.

Smith

Inland Sea, Illinois
Fishing the submerged ridges with spinnerbaits, crankbaits and T-rigged plastic worms.  I have been wanting to try using the buzzbaits I have won in the contests here over these same ridges, but I haven't been able to do that yet.

Smith

Long Pond, Illinois
Fishing around the stumps with plastic worms and topwaters lures.  Also target the shoreline cover that has easy access to deeper water with crankbaits and spinnerbaits.

I'm SOoooooo Boring.....   :-[

Trestle Pond

I fish close to shore just at the weeds with a Texas Rigged Red Shad Kinami Flash.
Once in a while, I'll toss one way out in the middle and let it sit a while...
Sometimes, I get a taker!

Even if you've been fishing for 3 hours
and haven't gotten anything except
poison ivy and a sunburn,
you're still better off than the worm.
