I like taking my gf fishing in the AM later in the summer when the bass are schooling and tying on a bettle spin for her that has yellow with black stripes down its back(just what she thinks looks the best) and letting her fish the schooling bass around beehive slough off of Red River La.  Because I usually wont have time to fish my self b/c I am busy taking off the fish she catches every other cast.
I caught you a delicious bass!

My favorite lures for late summer and early fall are a shad colored rapala jointed shad rap, a 1/8-1/4 white spinnerbait with willow blades, pumpkin seed tiki stick with a chartruse tip, and a custom made finesse worm.

Baylor_PhiDelt

Early in the morning i use a custom made buzz bait or a prop bait. then later i will hit the docks. i will use the crank bait in between the docks and sometimes in the holes in the middle. on the edges of the shadow i will throw the tiki stick. if weather prevails, i will be able to hit the flats which i use the spinner bait, when i get a strike i will throw the finesse worm where i caught it.

bright color float worm in open pockets of grassbeds

as for weather, im a tournament fisherman so it wont matter unless it is lightning, the conditions i like to fish in are sunny or partly cloudy, even when its blazing hot out. i hate coldfronts. but when i went fishing with my dad before i moved out, we went after every football game on friday nights. i still love to go night fishing and i catch excellent sized bass then.
