When I got a digital camera I began taking pictures of catches. When doing that once trying to get a photo with water scenery behind me, fish on the scale and tape measure alongside bass for another contest on another forum I dropped a 6# bass on the deck and it flopped into the water at the shoreline. I had the camera sitting on the second pedestal seat in auto mode, and almost knocked it overboard trying to net the fish back while flopping in rocks.  :'( I'm just no longer into photographing fish. I'll reserve that task to a partner, which is fairly rare these days, never able to take off work on weekends.

What might be interesting would be a way to post videos of some good action. I could have done that the other day catching a bass every minute or so for about 10 minutes. I figure that would eat up a huge amount of server space. My camera takes videos with sound, used currently for our 10 month old granddaughter antics. I also have some video I took last spring of two 8 point bucks with horns locked.

To my way of thinking, it'd be a great feather in your cap to be the winner of the First UltimateBass.com Photography Contest, 2005!

Anyone who fishes should have some photographs with water in em...just follow the instructions that Laurie set forth for how to enter(see previous post by silversalmon)...and get your entries in before the end of the month...that means you've still got 9 days left to get your entries in...so don't delay!

And, may the best photograph win!

Good Luck

Team KaRu

And the winners are.... (drum roll) ~roflmao

We're still discussing the entries...besides, we'll give our findings and determinations to Laurie and she'll announce the winner.

MotherNature

Congratulations

Team Illinois

We are all in agreement as to the best photo that met the rules, had good composition, was in focus, had good depth of field and technically, was hands down the best photo.

The banner will be placed in the Siggy of our winner to proudly display.
