Never been in one but have been told for years they are a great boat.

Good luck working out the deal you want and getting your new boat home!   ~c~ ~c~

BassCat rides very well, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I had a Jaguar before downsizing to a tin boat.  Best glass boat I ever owned or road in.  Overall, BassCat is the best boat made (IMHO).

Bass Cat is the best boat produced , backed by a Family that knows what Customer service still is.
They don't build as many boats as some of the other manufacturers, they build roughly 3 boats a day so each one is done right.
The Puma is their top of the line boat. Cats are built by the Pierce family, Ron and Rick were/are both tournament fisherman in BASS and other cirsuits so they design the boats for functionality during tournaments.
The entire line of Bass Cats are built the same way with the same construction method,
100 % fiberglass. No wood, No composite board or foam board, no tri core..all fiberglass.

I own a Pantera 3 and my TX partner has a Puma.  The 2008 Pumas are a wide bodied boat, they have tremendous hull lift , as all Cats do to get up on top of rough water.  The deep V
will cut thru most rough stuff, but the boats are still nimble enough to maneuver real quick in big swells.
We fish the Chesapeake Bay  /Potomac river systems, all tidal and wide and rough.  My partner came out of a Champion boat which are also great rough water boats, what He found out was that the Cat handles the rough water and also has the lift to get a great top end also.
Great boats backed by a great family /customer service.  Most everything for the boats is built on site at the plant in Mt. Home Arkansas.  If you have questions on your boat, call down and you can talk to one of the guys that built it, or a good chance one of the owners will answer your questions.
GO to the bass Cat website and ask on the owners message board , lot of Puma owners on there will give you real answers to any question you might have.

Congrats on the new boat. I've seen it in and out of the water FINE. You will not find a better boat out there and working w/ the people in Mtn. Home (for anything) is a pleasure. Of course I'm a little biased. You need to bring it up and watch some of the Classic. :)

Awesome Boats! I've ridden and fished out of a Cougar FTD... you won't be dissapointed. Congratulations!!! Good Luck this year, Shawn.
