I just wish they would go to a different city every time then some of the people that can not get to them could get a chance to see it live. It would help the sport with getting more interest in it.

wait a minute the lakes are crowded enough!  :surrender: lo

I am watching the updated on the water reports via the web-site, and it looks like Davey Hite may have been the one sitting on a reserve spot. As far as the choices made by BASS in the last few years, yes, they haven't really benefitted the local anglers. Since the inclusion of BASS into the ABC and ESPN family it is geared more for the corporate dollar, but I guess that is the way of big business now days. Does that make it right..maybe...maybe not. Is this what Ray Scott envisioned, who knows. Guess we will have to see what happens next in light of the early spring classic's that are about to start. I have seen alot of dissention in the state federation ranks lately. If you get BassTimes, they did alot of damage control right after ESPN bought BASS. There were rumors flying wildly that the 5 spots for the federation members was going to be taken away. It didn't happen however. And now with the Womens Tournaments.....Well, we will have to see.......Dave

I still haven't renewed my membership yet.....waiting... :-\

More politics and corporate talk than actual fishin and what they are usin talk.

Right on Kal- Kevin ~c~ ~c~

And who do we thank for that?????????

Our men and women in the armed forces.  How about a round of applause for them ~c~ ~c~ ~c~ ~c~ ~c~ ~c~ ~c~ ~c~ ~c~

Pferox

OH yea I agree with that.
It is just that over the past few years, BASS is startin to sound like the NASCAR circuit, business, not racin, or money not fishin.
How many people own a certian rod, or reel, or use a line of lures cause KVD uses em?  Lots more than we think for sure.
Heck, I'm just as bad, I will buy stuff with Bill Dance's name on it.
IMHO

HEY, Wait,  HOLD THE PRESSES....Someone feed the tuna mayonnaise  lo
I figured out why they are not catchin' big bags of fish in Pennsylvania.  It is our fault here at UB.  None of our members have been posting any updated reports on the East section of the U.S. Bass Fishing Reports & Tournament Information forum!  Someone from PA scout out a report and send it in!  :roll2:

as for the sponsoring of products so they can sell whats new about that? that is part of the marketing game. But I do buy things once if some one says it works, but I'm more inclind if a regular Joe says it.

Well KVD is still in first but I think it will be close up till the end.

Pferox

Thats it team, no good scoutin by the Ultimate gang.  :-*

My hat tips to all of or people in uniform.

With a field like this I still think it is anybody's trophy.

But the coverage is great as done by ESPN.

fishforfree

It is pretty exciting isn't it Team Illinois?

The coverage is unbelievable.

How many remember back to when you had to wait for your next issue of BASSMASTER MAGAZINE to come in the mail to find out who won the Classic?

Those were the days :roll2: :roll2:

Team KaRu

What do you mean remember back when?  i'm 49 and I still go thru the mail to see if it arrived.  What's that old saying? "Some kids never grow up"  I bet that stands for you and I and most of our other members.

I know you two aren't THAT old....at least you don't seem to act that old (meant that in a good way). Well, it looks like the action is begining to slow a bit. No major changes so far as far as the fish caught count..think I will go out and put a coat of wax on the old Nitro........Dave

Looks like there are changes in the top 5 on the leaderboard.  KVD has a little lead but Cochran has moved within striking distance.

I was watching the Classic coverage on ESPN and I am really impressed.  It looks to me like KVD is throwing a rattlin rouge, and maybe an ac shinner too.  Jerry McKinnis reported that he is thowing a Wild Shiner, but that is BS.  I hate it when they misreport the lures they are using.  The same thing happened at Smith Lake when KVD used a rapala and rattlin rouge, but ESPN reported he was using a wild shiner.  Anyway, misreporting lures is a pet peave of mine.

My two cents on the Classic being held in Penn is that this is one of the most exciting ones I've ever watched. I like watching the pros fish different types of water, and this one is definitely different.  I'd like to see AM win.  Coming in second three times in four years would be very Buffalo Billsish.

Oh, and did you guys notice that when Ike got stuck they actually brought him another boat?  I can't believe that that is not against the rules.
