Yeah it hasn't changed lately.

Watch Arron Martens I just realized he has 5 keepers, that is likely to put him over 10 pounds :-*

Ya gotta luv the commentary from the "Bachelor guy" and his side kick on ESPN's BassCentral this morning when Valveck says "This just might be a classic record for the amount of fish caught today"!   (covering for the lack of fish put in the live wells) and he was trying to be serious.   ~c~ ~c~

Seems that it's a toss up who will win the Classic.  To me, it looks like a three horse race.  Martens has caught fish each day and seems to have something figured out.  Ike seems like that too.  But KVD is still way too close to count out.  And he seems like the type who has an area he has kept in reserve in case he needs a fish or a limit.

KVD seems like that doesn't he.......................plus he hasn't eaten all of his magic cookies yet!! lo

I think it's more than a 3 horse race, anyone of the top 10 spots could show up with a 5 pounder and shock em all.

Chris

I think anyone who shows up with a five pounder and four tight lips to go with it will win ...All the way down to the 16th spot. I just cant see a five pounder being caught though. I do think there will be a three pounder tomorrow. Ike will catch it. My top three is Martens ,Ike and Cochran.

Well I have to say I am not to impressed with the place chosen for this classic.  These numbers are Sad.  Its sad they choose a place with only tiny small mouths in it.   I mean all these fish are barley 12 in and weigh a pound each.  One cool note is that I meet Bradley Stringer  who just made the cut today he was number 25.  I meet him a couple months ago at a Shimano Tour event.. You couldn't meet a nicer guy that was very friendly and helpful with tips and such..  This is his first classic so I wish him the best.

BIG PAPA

The Classic is way beyond catching fish anymore
Pittsburg was the highest bidder. ;D

In defense of Pittsburgh...

One it is a tremendous city with great people.  Yes, the fishing is tough, and it's tough all over the north.  I personally want to see a tournament where a fisherman has to use all of his skills to catch fish.  I grew up on the Ohio and there are 4 and 5 pound fish in there, you just have to weed thourgh the little ones.  Most guys, if they go to the same spots, will be rewarded o the fianl day.

I fear that BASS is becoming the Southeast Fishing Series.  By limiting the Classic to southern waters( Lord, knows they don't go out West with Tour events), I feel BASS is shutting out northern fishermen.  We don;t even have a local Bassmaster Series division, when we could certainly have one that alternates from Laker Erie to Lake Ontario to Lake St. Clair, and so on.  I have sent emails to BASS without reply to this issue.  Guys in my club are travelling to Tennessee to fish the Series.  Nothing wrong with Tennessee, but why shouldn't we be awarded a division.  We pay the same dues as everyone else.

I have thought more and more about fishing only in the FLW and Midwest Sportsman circuits.  It seems that at least they care about the northern fishermen, and BASS is only concerned with big sacks from down south.  Just my two cents worth.
