July 19 - How do you deal with the things summer throws at you

When walking the bank keep a eye open for snakes because they like ot get up in the trees and along the bank when it get hot and carry a snake bite kit with you

I bring plenty sun tan lotion and apply often. I also keep a bottle of soft soap and a dry hand towel in the boat for after I apply the sun tan lotion I can wash it off my hands.

I bring several frozen bottles of water, this helps keeps things cold in my ice chest and as they defrost I can drink them.

Sometimes when it's really hot I'll take a quick dip in the water. I never jump out of my boat because you never know what kind of obstructions are under the water. I've heard of several instances where people have jumped out of their boat and landed on a stump. Always take caution and enter the water safely.

When fishing from the bank in an area without any trees and if your going to be in one spot very long bring along an umbrella to have a spot to get out of the sun.

Wear loose fitting light collerd cloths.

When on the water near tall grass I put up a tall fiberglass stick and a flag.
It lets the airboaters see my boat better.

take a  extra ball cap, if the one youare wearing blows off, to give your face a little shade and the sun out of your eyes

I carry extra Ice than normal, and close up the drain plug.
A rag dipped and then wrung out with the cold cooler water can be quite refreshing.

I wear a head band, kinda look like Samuri fisherman. 
It keeps the sweat out of my eyes.

You should see my floppy Flats hat.
It's like havin your own shade tree right with you, and keeps my ears from cookin.

When bank fishin I wear my snake boots, moccasins are bad in Flroida.

Weare shorts or your swimming trunks so you can take a dip in the water if you get too hot.

When your fishing from the bank and let's say your going off the beaten path like Fish does be sure to let someone know where you are going and about what time to expect you back just in case.

I carry my .38 with me, more for gators than snakes.

I have one pair of WileyX sunglasses that I bring with at all times they are polarized and have sealed eye cups to keep out wind and bugs during WOT runs to your honey hole

When its gets hot liike ts been lately here in nw Indiiana i fish for bass under the moon lite Nothing better then  star filled night and some great Bass fishing!

Carry a zip lock bag to put your wallet in for that rain that shows up to quick to dom your rain gear

Make sure you have your rain gear for them sudden down pours.

Take a lite snack to eat like pretzzles or peanut butter crackers instead of a full course meal.

ensure your tow vehicle is ready for towing in the heat
the hotter weather; running the AC and towing a boat
puts extra strain on the engine and transmission

Make sure you have a tow rope to help pull anyone in who might need help. Don't want them to be sitting out there in the Hot sun in their RANGER
