A hunt based only on trophies taken, falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be . . . time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live

Best glue in town too lo

These picks are legitimate picks - think about it;

1) Bobby Lane - where did he finish up in last year's BMC fishing water he is not nearly as comfortable on as the Red River - and Rookie of Year? ;)
http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/tournaments/classic/news/story?id=3263191
2) Scroggins - knows rivers - grew up on St Johns - and has proven himself as winner on tour  ~c~
http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/news/story?page=b_fea_OneThatGotAway_Scroggins
3) Peter T - he can catch fish on a jig, cb and c-rig with the best of them and does well in the big tournaments.

Here's a little info for everyone to chew on. Hackney is probably my favorite Elite Pro. I had the privalege to speak with him at the Open weigh in here on the Red all three days. He ended up weighing right after me each day. He told me that the only fish he is ever on, on the Red, are in pool #3. The last 2 tourneys he fished on the Red, he made 60+ mile runs and locked twice each way. This left him with about 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 fishing time a day. I like Hackney but he's going to have to change his strategy to be competative in this one. If he does change strategy's, he will be a favorite, I believe.

I may decide to take Hackney off my picks and pick up Shaw (what a pig) Grisby as he is my favorite pro, the nicest guy you ever want to meet.  I had my Ultimate Bass ballcap autographed by him.   I hope for Hackney's sake he does change his strategy......

 Nobody but me and P.Roberts picked Alton Jones ? I thought he had a good year considering the demands on his time. He may not win but I look for him to be in the top ten or better.
I don't mind not knowing all the answers, but I keep forgeting the danged questions.

That is a heck of a run. I have fished pool 3 in several tournaments. If he makes that run and the water is right he will will have a big bag of fish. Normally at this time of the year pool 3 is muddy. If that is the case this year I doubt that he will run down there.

I would love to see Ms. Bain in the top three...and even more to win!

Seems like a great gal...and there's just no reason that women can't compete on equal footing with men in this sport.  none at all.
