July 5 - List summer time patterns that catch fish in your state

Ok the Dawg Days of Summer are finally here, how do you Catch fish during the summer heat?

List:
the State and Lake you fish in the summer time and the summer time patterns you use to catch fish
Give three details about your pattern, 1) the Bait or Lure 2) How deep 3) cover or structure you are fishing. Give all three of these details in each post.

Example:
Cross Lake Louisiana, throw buzz baits in the scattered hydrilla that grows in 3-5 ft

Don't forget there are several fish catching patterns going on at any given time on any given lake. So put your thinking caps on, don't just list your favorites but also any fish catching pattern that has worked for you during the summer months.

1.  Lake Guntersville, AL,run a Baby 1 -  on top of vegitation that is 1-2ft under the surface.

2. Lake Guntersville, AL  Manns regular 1- (big one)  retreived slow so it will "wobble" on the surface of the water, 1-2 ft from the vegitation.

3. Lake Guntersville, AL,  10-Powerworm T-rigged with a 1/8thoz weight. Worked thru the vegitation that is nearly at the surface.

4.  Lake Guntersville, AL, Tried and True spinnerbait, It tough fishing a spinnerbait in the Guntersville Grass, but the rewards are worth it.   Fish the S/b thru the vegitation that is 1-2ft from the surface.  You will have to pick grass off everytime, but when you do catch a fish, its a good one.

5.  Guntersville, AL    "Super Fluke" t-rigged, weightless, work the fluke around hole's in the vegitation, more or less dead stickin' until itstops moving, then a few slight twitches of the rod, 3-4ft of water.

6.  GUntersville, AL  4-8ft, I use a t-rigged lizard to bounce around the edges of the vegitation.

7.  Guntersville,AL  2-3ft, T-rigged Brush hog weightless, pitched into the holes in the mat after a miss on a frog.

8.  Guntersville, AL 2-3 ft.  Matted grass calls for either a frog or rat in the weedless persuasion, skipped across the mat produces some excellent action.

9.  Guntersville, AL 2-3 ft, Rats aint the only thing that works on the mats, a weightless lizard slowly retrieved will result in some catches too.

10.  Little River, AL 1-3 ft, Wading in the cool stream feels good, the fishing is good also, a 4 in lizard weightless on 6lb line is exciting.

11.  Desoto Lake, AL 1-3 ft, lay-downs and grass lines produce good fish in this small lake, small worms t-rigged on light line is the key.

12.  Dekalb Co. public lake, AL  20-22 ft.  The bass are hard to catch in this lake, unless you can find the shad school.  Bouncing a Silver Spoon off the bottom is the way to catch them.
