HammytheFisherman

Nice idea Karl! ~c~ Do you happen to have any pics of these rigged up? I think I can see how one would do it... but figured I'd ask. ;PHO)

Here are a few shots so everyone can see some of the ways to rig this great new idea.

This is a Brush Hog 5/0 hook and KaRu football weight fully pegged in place

5/0 hook in a 10 inch Berkley worm KaRu football weight up the line. Shows how when you set the hook, the weight gets out of the way.

Zoom z tail worm 4/0 hook with KaRu weight fully pegged

This is a lake fork tube with 4/0 hook KaRu weight fully pegged and a skirt

This is a lake fork tube with 4/0 hook KaRu 3/4 weight fully pegged no skirt great for punching grass.   ~shhh

Top is a This is a lake fork craw worm with 5/0 hook KaRu weight fully pegged and a skirt you can now make any size jig, with a weight from 1/4 to 3/4 and use as big or small of a hook as you want.

Bottom is an every day run of the mill jig and trailer

This shows how the weight, skirt and plastic will separate from the hook on the hook set

Sweet Beaver 4/0 hook and 1/4 ounce KaRu weight

Next 2 are a new jig set up I just made.  It's a Sweet Beaver 4/0 hook and 1/4 ounce KaRu weight with skirt

Thanks for the pics Fogy  :) I'm going to try and get a video out soon showing how to rig these different ways  ;)

Ron Fogelson

Hey I have more ideas, can't tell these guys everything but this one is killer.

GotstaFish

Thats one thing I forgot to mention. Even though it acts like a pegged weight, the hook seperates from the weight while fighting the fish and helps keep the fish from throwing your hook  ;)

Yep, weight/skirt/plastic shoot up the line and old big mouth is stuck with a clean hook.   ~c~

Thanks for the pics Fogy! ~c~ Thats what I was thinking everything would look like when rigged but I just wanted to make sure. Hmmm... I might need to place me an order in the near future. ~shade The beaver and skirt idea looks good to me though. ~shhh

You know I never thought to add a skirt to this rig, that's a great lookin rig Fogy, thanks.  I will need to get some in pumpkin.  Karl, Rudy. you might consider  finding  a name for these other than KaRu Football Weight.  Might I suggest Karu Punch Weight?

Saving my dimes again for more Karu Product.

I am confused by the skirt color scheme on your on line page.  do the numbers correspond to the colors listed? They don't seem to

Dug

OH BTW Order sent.

;D
In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

I'll definitely have to get some of those.  I've been utilizing the same type of concept for a long time, but never could master the slide concept!

"Football Rock Master" --- as this will bring in many 5+ pounders on rock!!! Guaranteed....

Thanks for the thumbs up guys!  We have some great reports from our ProStaff of this new weight being utilized in multiple patterns on lakes and rivers throughout the USA and they are saying this gave them another secret weapon from KaRu that they had an opportunity to use in a tournament setting with results...

Thought I would add a "How To" with the amount of emails I am receiving regarding this... ~read

Simply slide the football weight on your line as you would any bullet weight.
Again this is a weight that can be used in different situations.
Listed below are two very simple and widely used methods.
JIG & PIG
1. Push a jig skirt up onto the collar at the "seat" of the weight up against the football.
2. Slide the football weight on your line as you would any bullet weight (FOOTBALL HEAD FIRST).
3. Then you tie on YOUR favorite hook, eg: (Gamakatsu, Mustad, BPS, etc.) or whatever the hook that you have the most confidence with your hookset.
4. Right now the weight is freely sliding on your line above the hook. Place any "PIG" (Craw, sweet beaver, or Plastic grub) on the hook (Texas Rigged Style) and slide it up onto the "keeper" of the weight. This allows the weight to be held down against your hook until you SET THE HOOK.

TEXAS RIGGED:
Slide the football weight on your line as you would any bullet weight.(FOOTBALL HEAD FIRST)
3. Then you tie on YOUR favorite hook eg: (Gamakatsu, Mustad, BPS, etc.) or whatever the hook that you have the most confidence with your hookset.
4. Right now the weight is freely sliding on your line above the hook. Place any style Worm, Tube, or Senko type bait on the hook (Texas Rigged Style) and slide it up onto the "keeper" or all the way up onto the collar of the weight. This allows the weight to be held down against your hook until you SET THE HOOK.

this Texas Rig just might take the place of the Shakey Head. I loose many shakey heads a year due to brush. This might end this problem.  ~c~
