Wifes first largemouth

Sense I have been fishing in Idaho for only 2 years , and only 2 months on the Pondery River my wife has only cought small fish . Untill may 31 . We were in a small inlet just north of Oldtown Id. the fishing was slow withonly 2 very small Bass for her and none for me. some people on the shore told us that they could see a large Bass on a nest so i went after it . so wile I try to get it to bite (it wont and never did) my wife Jean is throwing a noname $2.00 crankbate at the shore. On her third cast she hoots a 5 lb largemouth . She is now hooked on Bass . So I get good company and lots of fishing time. We always go out together . The other fish thet day was an 11 lb northern .

Excellent bassketcher always great to hear about another lady hooked on bass fishing. I know from experience you are going to truly enjoy your wifes company while fishing Laurie and I always have a great time

Congratulations basketcher, Sharon and I are kinda inseperable, now, it feels real funny not havin her there when fishin. 

When I am tryin to get somebody hooked on bass fishin, I soak live shiners, after they catch one or two and are hooked then we start workin on the lure stuff.

Of course, come to think of it, aint been bass fishin since before the hurricanes last year.   

Of course, most of the time I prefer soakin live shiners any ways.

Congrats to the wife there Bass, only thing now no more sneakin' off for the weekend to fish with the guys. If she's anything like my wife, she's going along...

I think it is great that your wife is hooked now. I know the feeling also as mine goes everytime I go too. It makes it even better when they catch a HAWG

Now don't get me wrong, I love for my wife to go, but half the fun for me is hanging out with the guys, and being a little  ish.
