Well, getting ready to hit the water. A nice 60 degrees, with a gentle SW breeze. Perfect!

Going to a small lake in Madisonville,TX today and hopefully will have a good report on our return. Hope each of you has a good day. Got to get this coffee down and give the boat and truck another once over. More upon our return,

Weather Pest says 62 now, but goin up to the mid 80s today, Northwest winds at about 10mph. There is a pollution warning out in Dallas today to.

Well,

! Another skunk day! And after the start I'm not surprised. All went well on the trip to Madisonville from Huntsville. We were putting the boat in and the wife was backing down the ramp. What she didn't see was that she was too far to the left and ran off the ramp.

I was in the boat and all of a sudden hear the worst scaping noise I ever heard.

Thinking the motor is dragging, I raise the tilt to no avail. Now the grating has stopped as has the truck. I jump out of the boat to see what's going on and the wife is almost in tears. I tell her not to worry, but now how to get the truck and trailer back on the ramp. Backward was no good as the horrid scraping got worse. :shocking:I tell her to put it in drive and pull it out. Well, she guns the V-8 and the tires spin, smoke boils, the truck goes from side to side about three times, the grating noise continues and then "presto" it's out.

We check for damage and to my relief there is none. ~b~It sounded worse than it actually was.

Well, we finally get the boat in the water and proceed to do some serious fishing. Cast, cast, cast, cast. etc.
Change rods, same senario. Change rods, same again. only strikes I got all day was early morning with a mini-pro chartreuse buzz bait.

We threw everything in the tackle box and I felt like throwing them

. SOOOOOO........we load the boat and head back to Huntsville. About a mile from the house, the wife says "I see my green lline back behind the boat! "

Well, we get pulled over and sure enough, just about all the line on one of her reels is trailing us and is wound itself inot the worst knotted mess I ever saw.

again! No telling how long it had been coming out of the reel. Well, looks like another re-spooling! We finally make it home and now I'm going to

Allen glad there wasn't any damage to the boat

and sorry to hear about not catching any fish

Well after the way the day started and all you lost was the line on your wife's reel that's a good day

Oh and good morning in the afternoon eye just got back in town around noon and will have some

to post tomorrow. Sorry no Bass eye was Crappie fishing
