Hey can someone tell me what a kind of fish folks from North Carolina are. Being from Louisiana a white perch and a crappie is the same.

We had an indepth conversation about this a few weeks back, and I was in the same boat as you. A white perch is a crappie is a sac-a-lait :roll2: but what some other states north and east of Louisiana call a white perch is like our bar fish or sand bass here is a link to what their version of a white perch is.

Yes sir, I tried to tell them that was not a white perch  :) but for some reason they don't lisen. The same with what they call an aligator gar, its a long nose gar but they call it an aligator gar. Boy theres a big difference.

The white perch, yellow perch (ratcoon perch) and blue gill are biting in Lake Waccamaw. Bait of choice red worms, crickets, minnows and spinner baits. Best on live bait.

Today when I was fishing in my first tournament I was using a crankbait or a jig.  Which me and my partner used anc caught 18lbs 6oz. limit to win the tournament with.  I was using a rapala DT6crawdad color in murky water and had schools of perch follow it to the boat.  After that I had caught like 10 perch and wanted the bass not the darn perch.  Later on that day I encoutered another school of them but caught bass attacking them perch!
