LIVE NEAR THE LAKE AND HAVE BEEN FISHING TILLERY FOR ABOUT THIRTY YEARS. FISH ALOT OF LOCAL TOURNAMENTS ON THIS LAKE.
FISHING ON TILLERY HAS IMPROVED OVER THE LAST TWO OR SO WEEKS. BUCK BASS ARE MORE ACTIVE AND THE FEMALES SEEM TO BE COMING OFF THE BEDS. GETTING SOME NICE FISH IN THE DAM AREA OF THE LAKE IN LAPS AND NEAR THE ENTRANCE TO THE UWAHREE RIVER. CHARTREUSE SPINNERBAIT,AND FLOATING WORMS AROUND THE LAPS HAVE PRODUCED SOME NICE FIVE AND SIX POUND FISH. AS ALWAYS CATCH AND RELEASE.AN WITH THE WATER TEMPS AT 72 AN 74 DEGREES ON THE LAKE, THE FISH ARE BEGINNING TO TURN ON.
A FINAL NOTE. WITH THE WARMING WEATHER, MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO KEEP YOUR BASS ALIVE FOR THE WEIGHINS.INSURE YOUR AEREATOR IS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. GOOD FISHING. AND IF YOU SEE A BLACK RANGER 518SVS WITH A 200 MERC. ON THE LAKE, FEEL FREE TO STOP BY AND SAY HELLO.

FISHED TILLERY AGAIN TODAY FOR CRAPPIE AND FOOD ON THE TABLE IS THE WORD. USING 1/16 BROWN AND CHARTRUESE JIGS WITH A SEVEN FOOT SPINNING ROD. I WAS ABLE TO LIMIT OUT WITH SOME GREAT CRAPPIE IN THE ONE POUND AND HAD A TWO PD. FOUR OUNCE CRAPPIE.
FOUND MOST OF THE CRAPPIE IN LAPS IN TEN FT. OF WATER. DID NOT TROLL FOR THEM. JUST WORKED THE LAPS ALONG THE BANK TIL I CAUGHT ONE OR TWO OUT OF EACH LAP. MOST OF THE FISH WERE TAKEN IN THE JACOBS CREEK AREA.
PLAN ON FISHING FOR THE BASS THIS EVENING. THEY ARE MOST ACTIVE IN THE LATE AFTERNOON OFF POINTS. A FEW FEMALES, BUT MOSTLY MALES. AND CATCHING THEM ON A CRAWDAD SPIDER JIG. DID GET A SIX POUNDER OFF OF A JUNE BUG YAMAMOTO WORM.
GOOD LUCK ALL. BEST WISHES AND FISH SAFELY, WEAR YOUR LIFEVEST. IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE. I CAN ATTEST TO THAT.........

HI ALL
THIS IS A REPORT ON LAKE TILLERY AND BADIN LAKE IN NORTH CAROLINA.
THE WEATHER IS TURNING HOTTER AS NORMAL, WATER TEMPS IN THE 84 DEGREE RANGE. BRIGHT SKYS, SO HIGH VISABILITY CRANKBAITS IS THE ANSWER.
CHARTREUSE AND GREEN WORKING WELL ON POINTS OF 15 FT OR MORE ON NICE KKEEPER BASS ON TILLERY AND BADIN.

EARLY MORNING,NEAR DAYLIGHT, LUNKER LURES IN THE GRASS ALONG THE LAKE ARE WORKING WELL. AGAIN CHARTREUSE AND BLACK 1/2 OUNCE LUNKER LURES ARE HAULING IN SOME NICE BASS IN THE THREE TO SIX POUND CLASS.

I fished Lake Tillery for the first time.  I printed out a aerial lake map and need to know where to get a good topo map for this lake.   I found at what I thought is an awesome spot, however being only a mile from a boat ramp, it seems to be extremely pressured.  I fished a 3/16 ounce Strike King Chartruese/White spinnerbait with a 3.5 gold plated blade and a smaller nickel colorado in front.  I also used a quarter ounce buzzbait to fish this somewhat clearer water.  My dad caught the only keeper fish by throwing a larger white buzzbait in another spot where the water was a little more stained along a grass bed.  I'm 17 and have little experience with this lake and need to know if I was doing anything right on a tough 5 hour fishing trip.  I caught one nonkeeper on the spinnerbait and had a few short strikes on the buzzbait w/ a trailer hook.  The water temp. was around 80-83 and the air temp. was in the lower 90s.  Any areas I should look for?  And where should I look for a good topo?  Any specific colors for this lake?  Help!

I currently have RV & boats at the Norwood Campground but know nothing about Lake Tillery .. Looking for someone to partner with and show me the Lake . Any type fishing. I can use my boat (1992 Ranger with a 350 Yamaha) or my pontoon boat, or we can use your boat and I pay the gas.  We will be opening day (Clean up) up the RV park on the 30th of Mar and any week after that,  I will try to be ready.

Tillery,Badin, and Highrock are crowded during the summer by pleasure boaters.
Try Tuckertown,it's the only "fishermans" lake along the Yadkin.

hey all.
I have been fishing Tillery for about a year now, got maps and knows lots of good places, I will be more then happy to help in anyway or to team with someone on my boat or his and  drive around to the good spots.
The only thing I can't find is info on tournaments .
I may go there tomorrow , I'm still trying to decide if to fish Tillery  or Shearon Harris.
