Went out on Fernan yesterday. Not much to tell. The water was still in the 40's. I found one 4.lb but I think he was lost. Went up to Granite Lake after a few hours with no action. Granite's not big but it is deep. The fish were holding at 90ft or deeper. Hope this weather will hold and bring the fish up.
Gone fishin. Be back tomorrow. Mabey.

Great to hear the names of those two lakes again. I have not heard of those lakes since 1985. Fernan used to have excellent largemouth fishing. Granite was only a Trout pond when I left. It must have been stocked with bass since then.

Late last year I was able to find a few on Granite. Kelso as well, so I've been told.

Granite lake is not mush of a bass lake but it holds a few small fish. It is to cold and deep for bass up here but Kelso I hear has some better fish. I havent fished Kelso yet but wanna try to here soon.
I fish the river mainly at Cocolala and Morton slews lots of nice fish up there. I lost one at Cocolala slew last year that I think woulda beat the state record. It was a toad but I didnt stick it good enough :'(  lol

I've not fished Kelso this year. Has there been any work done at Kelso as far as a ramp? The last time I was out there my boat went in the back of the pickup. I've been working Hauser with a few fish to the boat. Spinner baits have been working along the weeds. Happy fishing.
