linked 480LMS question

I recently purchased another 480LMS for the bow of my boat. I linked them together and I can get the newly added unit to show my location. Problem is my ground speed flashes 0.0 and my water temp stays at 32*. I switched their positions, moving it to the drivers console and it does the same thing, which leads me to believe the problem is with the the newly added unit. Anybody know if there is something I can do to get this unit working properly?

How do you have them linked; via NEMA 2000 or NEMA 0813? Not sure about the ground speed but for the temp, it will not share over the network. If you have the 2000 network you would have to get a temp probe to be able to share between the two units.
