Now thats funny..............I know one thing,  if I get cut off again tomorrow by other fishermen ....I will be in a$$ whipping mode ... 2000 plus acre lake and folks want to cut us off ..........there were only four boats on the whole lake.. Yall might see me get arrested tomorrow .
Did you know the guys that cut you off? Trey and I got your back buddy ~gator

Fished the TCTC tourney yesterday. Managed enough to take 2nd place...But it was tough!

Got to my first spot to find someone else settled in & fishing it so we moved to our second spot on the other side of the first spot. It was a seawall on the edge of a pad flat. Caught 2 on a Cal420 tube. Wind got too bad to hold the boat so we moved over around the island around the old Cypress Inn. Caught 2 more keepers there & quite a few small ones on crankbaits. Struggled the remainder of the day looking for fish #5 but never found him.

It was windy...windy...windy!

Took another friend from out of town fishing yesterday afternoon. I'm without a good prop so we put in on the North launch and just trolled around. North of the bridge was very muddy and we got no bites. Went to the flats south of the launch and managed six 1.5- 3lbers on plastic worms. They were hitting them hard. At least we caught some.

Steve I have a spare prop , has a couple of dings but works fine.
Merc Tempest 25 pitch If you want to borrow it just let me know.

Still waiting on a tournament day thatwe dont have 30mph winds...

Tubeflipper

I know that feeling.  I've had some strong pre-fishing days and then hit the lake on tournament morning only to find that I'm merely hauling water all over the lake.

I fished one tournament on a Texas lake where I swear God must have been toying with me that day.  Nearly every fish I hooked into was just a hair under 14 inches and had to go back in the water.  After about the 10th one like that I started questioning whether or not I was meant to be on that lake, that day.

I ended up with a limit, but it was as frustrating a day as I can remember having on the water.

fished cypress today from 0830 till 1230 before i had to go to work.. water temp was 47deg. caught 5 on 3/8 jigs and a tube. the big pier in rambo's i caught a 5lber on a tube. the white pier down from the launch i fished that pocket caught a 3.5 on a jig, then a 1.12 on a  tube. the next spot caught a 3.12, 3.0. planning on hitting cross friday.. :help:

Tubeflipper

I'm going to start following Railroader around.  He's got some good spots apparantly.

I disrupted folks trying to fish today...went out and put about an hour on the motor.  Probably going back out tomorrow.  I'll eventually start fishing out of the new Legend.

Railroader...M&M can't wait either.  Want to just give us your money and stay home?

Went to Cypress on Sat. and caught 13 from about 11am-4pm. Caught 9 on a shad colored(dipped half way in char) Tiki Stik. Couldn't buy a hit without dipping the tail. The others were caught on a red colored bass ass. 3 biggest were almost 4lbs.

BassBUFF

Sounds like you had a great day! What general area on the lake were you fishing?

cainsw

We launched at the north launch and trolled under the bridge. Caught em all over that whole area, mostly in submerged grass.

BIG PAPA

Well BassBuff sure knows that area, he and Kermit won the last TCTC tournament on Cypress fishing there. ~c~

That is my favorite spot on Cypress. I can't seem to hook em up anywhere else on that lake.

BassBUFF

Mine too. Seems to be the most consistant of any part of the lake. I've had good luck inthe past in Rambo and White Oak too. Although I couldn't get bit in White Oak last year, it was very productive in the past. Going to give it a try again soon.

BassBUFF

Hit Cypress from 1400-1830 yesterday. Water temps were in the low 60's and lightly stained. Thought I'd try the south end of the lake and see if it had improved. Caught 5 that would've weighed a little over 10lbs, largest was 3.5lb and she still had roe. Got two in Wagoner's and the other three came out of Rambo. All were in shallow water near vegetation.

Looks like it'll be a good weekend for fishing!
