Fished the Grand from 6:50 til 1:00 pm,water was stained and 65-71 degrees and it was a good day. We started out throwing blades and Texas rigs on the community point with no bites, then moved down by the dam where some submerged vegetation was and within a couple of hours we had 3 overs that went 19 pounds. We had decided we were going to hold our fish in the livewell and weigh our best five at the end of the day and take a few pictures.I ended up catching four overs and two slots,Jimmie had 2 overs and 4 slots . Our best 5 was 27 pounds 7 ounces. Jimmie had a 8.5 pounder and I had a 7 pounder. We caught em on Carolina rigs and swimbaits in 4-6 foot of water. Could not buy a shallow bite. There was little tourney going on down there I would like to know what won it. If anyone knows please post results.

I know a very good fisheman that blanked yesterday so Im wondering how others did, I know Blackbox had an 8.1 with best 5 going 19 yesterday too so it may have been feast or famine.
