Fish black bayou today from 2pm till 5pm.
Temps are much warmer @ 66-67*
Water had a little stain to it.
Only caught two fish, one dink off a dock, using a jig. About 3 ft.
I could see fish in the shallows but couldn't catch them. I throw a  ^-^ spinnerbait for 2 hours without a bite. Throw a silver and black jerk bait and had one but it came off, just a little one anyway. Picked up one of my baits that I have faith in and WAA LAA. Caught her on a white "Vibra Shock" in about 2 ft of water, back in a cove on the wind blown bank. I don't know about Cypress but the spawn is on at Black bayou. I spoke with a couple others and they asked if I caught her shallow in about 1 1/2 ft of water, that is where they caught their fish.
Here is a pic of her. Also, this is a personal best for me. She weigh right at 5 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long. She was fun to catch and yes I put her back in the lake.

I fished Cypress from 0800-1330 and only had two hits.  One 19.25 in and approx. 4lbs.(biggest I ever caught and she's back in the lake)  on a wht/red spinner.  I had an ultralight rigged with a beetlespin to see if the slabs were on the bank and had one follow it to the boat and hit as I picked it up.  Water temp low to mid 50's all day.

As you come in Bossier, go past Barksdale and turn right on Airline Dr. Just keep going through town, past walmart, homedepot, under I 220 and keep going about 6 or 7 miles. The four lane will split with markers, stay in the left lane. Go one more mile and turn right. Go a few hundred yards and the ramp is on your left. Don't forget to purchase a sticker at the Cypress lake office.
You get there by staying in the right lane, and just follow the brown signs. That road is Linton cut off. The sticker is good for both lakes.  :)
