Back to Caddo again for the RMTT......our day started great and boated a nice one  weighing 8.65 pounds..... :)  Downside is we couldn't  keep anything else we caught as they were ALLL in the slot...boated 7 more slots total....Ralph boated most of the slots including two really nice one just shy of 18"....

Anyway that was it for the day.. Weighed just the one fish for 8.65 total but still good for a tie for 11th place...and was 2nd big bass.... :)

Winning string today in the A division was 24+ pounds......not sure what it took to get in the money but did pay a few more places below us....Big bass just bumped me out at 9.01 pounds....

Most of the fish we caught were somewhat shallow on plastics....not a hit on anything else.....water temps were in low 50's at start and mid to upper 50's when we came in..

And in the B divisions Kent and Pat Cella strike again.....they'll give the detail but had a really nice string for first place... ~c~

Here is the nice one..released but I still get a replica... :)

Replica?  Sorry I have been a little out of the fishing loop over the past years.  I am assuming you can take the measurments, weight, and a picture and get a replica mounted.

Yep...Bass Life Associates sponsors the replica program here....the fish has to be weighed at an official weigh station....take the fish to the park office in most of the lakes around here....Clarks does it on the Red.....then just get that information to Bass Life.....

Anything over 10 pounds is free....9-9.99 is 75% funded and 8-8.99 is 50% funded......my 8.65 will cost me around $100.....and will look pretty with my 9.51 and 11.18.... :)

And the replicas look just as good as the real thing and that fish will hopefully give someone a thrill another day...... :)

Ron Fogelson

On Caddo, Cross, Red River and Bistineau the Bass Life Program will pay 50% for a bass 8-8.99 and 75% for a bass 9 to 9.99 and 100% for any bass over 10 lbs for a replica if you get the bass certified at the lake scales

Great job Scottie. With the way you help out fellow anglers on here, you deserve it.

Scottie I haven't been on this board long but you ALWAYS seem to find the big ones.  Congrats on a great fish.

One of these days I'm gonna break 6lbs, but I might have to make Scottie guide for me.

Well we struggled on Caddo Saturday for the Reeves Tourney. Caught a few slots, several gar and one under which we weighed for a whopping 1.6 lbs. Just couldn't put anything together. Had several bites but it felt like they weren't ready to eat. They were just slapping at the bait. I can say it was very, very cold Sat morning. Snow flurry's at 5:40 while waiting in water to leave launch site!!!

Scottie that was a really nice fish and the picture does not do it justice.  You have got to learn to hold it out farther. lo

I guess when you actually catch a lot of big fish you don't have to do camera tricks.

Scottie since I'm the father shouldn't my name be first there? ~shade  And don't tell me it goes by who catches the biggest fish. lo

Thanks for that info.  I was unaware that the state would help pay for it.  My fish wouldn't have qualified but if I  catch a bigger one I will be sure to make that happen.

Ron Fogelson

Well the state will pay for any bass over 12lbs from any lake but Bass Life is a Private Organization and only pays for fish over 8 on a precentage based on weight from Croos, Caddo, Red River and Bist.

Thanks for the explanation Fogy.

If there is anyone out there that would be interested in attending the banquet and helping raise the money to continue the replica program and to help fund the many different programs that Bass Life has been able to sponsor over the years please contact me or any of the board members that you either know or may recognise for out website. If any of you have businesses that would be interested in either sponsoring a table and our setting up a display for their company or product please have them contact us. We are going to have a great time as we allways do and you will have a ton of chances to win some great raffle items and have plenty of opportunity to bid on some wonderful auction items. If you don't come I can promise you that you are missing out. You can contact me at (318) 518-1609 if you have any questions or even any leads as to someone or some business who maybe interested.

Thank you,
Mike Pharr

PS. Fogy do you think KaRu might be interested in setting up a display by chance? If so then just give me a call and let me know who I might contact.
